I Have Never Regretted Joining The River Angels, Says Vivian Ikechukwu
Vivian Ikechukwu has unlocked her long time anticipatory move to the Port Harcourt based side as she had three good preferences before she chose River Angels over others.
The former Abia Angels forward affirmed that she has no discomfort for her intention as she explained in her interview with journalists.
“I had three offers on the table when I wanted to leave Abia Angels, they wanted me to stay but I wanted a new challenge. Ibom Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and Rivers Angels were all interested in me.
“Some of my friends discouraged me from going to River Angels, they said I wouldn’t get playtime in Port Harcourt, of course, I knew the team was star studies, played against them in the league and scored two.
“I was confused and had to call my mum. I explained everything to her and she asked me what I really want. I told her I wanted something more in my career and wanted to win trophies as a player.
” She told me to follow my heart and so I arrive, Port Harcourt, the next day, had my medicals two days after, left the hotel and joined the other players at the team’s camp. Everyone at Rivers Angels treated me with so much respect and I felt at home almost immediately.
“I will never forget what the team manager told me in our first meeting, she said: “This is an environment where everyone is welcome and treated equally. If you are motivated and want to help us win more trophies, then you’ve got a place here in River Angels”.

“I have never regretted joining Rivers Angels and will forever be grateful to God almighty and my mom who was the only person that encouraged me to join the Jewels of River.
The young player who is 22 years of age had won two trophies for the Jewels of River and still look forward to performing more of her best for the club.
