In a decisive step to enhance school safety, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has announced the strategic deployment of multi-agency security personnel to all public schools across the area.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the initiative is aimed at prioritizing the protection of students’ lives and property.
Effective immediately, security teams comprising the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Ibeju-Lekki Community Corps (Folumo), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and Nigerian Forest Security Services (Hunters) will be stationed at school premises, entry points, and surrounding areas to ensure a secure learning environment.
In a statement, Hon. Olowa urged school principals, teachers, and parents to cooperate fully with the deployed personnel.
“Our administration is committed to ensuring that our children can learn and thrive in a safe environment. We encourage everyone to report any suspicious activities to the security teams immediately,” he said.
He added that the measure is part of a broader commitment to community safety and creating an atmosphere where education can flourish without fear.
“Safety of our students is non-negotiable. We will continue to take proactive steps to safeguard lives and protect property in all our schools,” the Chairman affirmed.
