BREAKING: INEC Officially Begins Collation Of Edo Election Results
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun collating the results of the governorship election held in Edo State on Saturday.
Key officials, including INEC National Commissioner Prof. Rhoda Gumus, Resident Electoral Commissioner Dr. Anugbum Omuoha, and State Returning Officer Prof. Faruk Adams Kuta, were present at the collation center.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in his opening remarks, Dr. Omuoha assured the public that the commission is committed to ensuring the election reflects the will of the people, urging patience and understanding during the process.
The major contenders in the election include Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party.
The results will be collated from all 18 Local Government Areas in Edo State, which include Akoko-Edo, Egor, Esan Central, Esan North-East, Esan South-East, Esan West, Etsako Central, Etsako East, Etsako West, Igueben, Ikpoba-Okha, Oredo, Orhionmwon, Ovia North-East, Ovia South-West, Owan East, Owan West, and Uhunmwonde.
