Piotr Zielinski and Mario Rui also trained separately from the main squad, while Jens Lindstrom has rejoined the group.
Osimhen has scored 15 goals in Serie A this season, but his performance has been hampered by numerous injuries and his absence during the Africa Cup of Nations in January and February.
If Osimhen is unavailable for Friday’s match, Giacomo Raspadori or Giovanni Simeone will likely step in as the center-forward.
The Partenopei dropped behind Fiorentina in the Serie A standings last week after a 2-0 loss to Bologna.
They must win in Florence to have a chance of securing eighth place or at least qualifying for the Conference League.
However, coach Francesco Calzona’s squad is significantly weakened without last year’s Capocannoniere.
It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will overcome his injury concerns in time for next month’s World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Samuel Chukwueze and Bright Osayi-Samuel are also major doubts for the qualifiers.
Nigeria is third in Group C with two points, trailing Rwanda and South Africa, who both have four points after two games.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing the 25-year-old Nigerian striker in the summer transfer window.
According to TEAMtalk, Osimhen is eager to move to Stamford Bridge and is waiting for Chelsea to submit their offer to Napoli.

Osimhen is widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the world and would be a superb acquisition for Chelsea.
However, he will not come cheap, as his contract with Napoli includes a release clause worth £113 million.
