In a statement signed by IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, the group expressed gratitude for the sacrifices made by ESN operatives in combating terrorism and securing the southeastern region of Nigeria.

ESN was founded on December 12, 2020, by IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in response to rising security threats, particularly attacks from Fulani herdsmen. IPOB claimed that ESN’s presence has significantly reduced farm invasions and killings in the region.

The group praised the operatives for their resilience in the face of dangerous conditions, including remote deployments and violent confrontations.

“The warrior’s spirit of both the living and departed comrades is working together to ensure the restoration of Biafra,” the statement read, paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the line of duty.

IPOB also emphasized the ethical code of ESN, vowing severe consequences for operatives who violate their conduct rules.

The group called on Biafrans, both in Nigeria and abroad, to continue offering financial and moral support to the network.

In its message, IPOB reiterated its demand for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other detained members, declaring that the fight for self-determination would continue until Biafrans are granted the right to vote in a referendum or peacefully exit Nigeria.
