The law firm of Ubani & Co. has strongly condemned the unauthorized leak of a private phone conversation involving its principal partner, Dr. Monday Ubani, SAN, on social media.
The controversy stems from remarks made about one of Ubani’s clients on an episode of the Honest Bunch podcast. In response, Ubani contacted the host to seek clarification and demand an apology.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the private conversation was later leaked online, sparking outrage from the legal community.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Ubani & Co. clarified that while the conversation contained nothing inappropriate, it was never meant for public consumption.
The firm emphasized that Dr. Ubani, a respected Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), does not engage in recording conversations with third parties and prefers written documentation for clarity and accountability.
“Our principal partner, Dr. Monday Ubani, SAN, is a distinguished member of the Bar, known for his diligence and professionalism in handling legal matters,” the statement read.

The firm further stressed that Ubani has never been in the habit of discussing or sharing his legal practice on social media. They urged those responsible for the leak to remove the content immediately and respect the privacy of legal professionals.
