Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had earlier stated that Iran would cease its attacks if Israel halted its operations by 4 a.m. Tehran time on Tuesday.
However, shortly after that deadline, Israeli sirens signaled incoming missiles, with at least one visibly intercepted over Jerusalem. Additional alerts for missile attacks were reported as morning arrived.
In southern Israel, a residential building suffered significant damage, with images from Israel’s Fire and Rescue Services showing the facade of a seven-story structure blown off.

Iran’s Foreign Minister reiterated on X that no formal agreement was in place, but Iran would not continue its response if Israeli strikes stopped. His message, posted at 4:16 a.m. Tehran time, added that a final decision on Iran’s military posture would be made later.
Israel’s military declined to comment on Trump’s announcement, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office did not issue a response.
