Among Africa’s notable movers in May is Egypt’s Mohamed El-Beiali, who climbed to become the third-best-ranked player on the continent and 49th globally.
His achievement follows a runner-up finish at the 2024 ITTF Africa Cup, where he faced a 4-0 defeat against Aruna in Kigali.
Although she dropped a spot, Egypt’s Dina Meshref maintained her position at the top of Africa’s rankings, holding the 24th spot globally.
Meanwhile, Meshref’s compatriot, Hana Goda, stayed at 31st place in the world rankings.
