A total of 95 princes and princesses from the Fusengbuwa Ruling House have indicated interest in ascending the Awujale of Ijebuland stool.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the disclosure was made by the Olori Ebi of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Lateef Owoyemi, at the commencement of a nomination meeting held at Bisi Rodipe Hall, GRA, Ijebu Ode.

Owoyemi, who is also known as Otunba Jadiara, said the nomination process had reached an advanced stage, noting that the names of candidates who successfully scaled the first screening hurdle would be forwarded to the Afobajes.
Other leaders of the ruling house present at the meeting included the Deputy Olori Ebi, Otunba Ajidagba, and the Chairman, Chief Fassy Yusuf, among others.

According to Owoyemi, the Afobajes will be responsible for selecting one candidate from the list and forwarding the chosen name to the Ogun State Government for final approval.
He added that any individual dissatisfied with the outcome of the nomination exercise is free to channel their grievances through the appropriate government channels.
