According to a statement issued Thursday evening, the passage of the budget followed the presentation and consideration of a detailed report by the Chairman of the House Committee on Economic Planning and Budget, Hon. Sa’ad Olumoh.
Speaker Obasa said the lawmakers unanimously adopted the committee’s report through a voice vote, noting that the budget was approved with the collective support of members to drive sustainable development across the state.

He subsequently directed the Clerk of the House, Barrister Olalekan Onafeko, to transmit a clean copy of the approved appropriation bill to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for assent.
Governor Sanwo-Olu is expected to sign the bill into law in the coming days.
It would be recalled that the governor had earlier presented a proposed budget of ₦4.23 trillion to the Assembly on November 25, 2025, before it was reviewed and approved by lawmakers.
