EKO HOT BLOG reports that Justice Daniel Osiagor issued the directive on Monday following a request by DSS counsel, Michael Bajela, for the arraignment of the defendants—Ibrahim Olanrewaju, Adetu Adekunle, and Fatimoh Adetola. However, the judge opted to review the case file before proceeding further.
The court ruled that the accused persons would remain in DSS custody until their arraignment, scheduled for Tuesday.
According to the charge sheet marked FHC/L/273C/2025 and dated February 24, 2025, the DSS accused the three individuals, along with others still at large, of conspiring to assault state security officers while they were carrying out their official duties at the Lagos State House of Assembly on February 17, 2025.
The prosecution further alleged that the defendants obstructed DSS officials from performing their lawful duties without justification. They were also charged with cyberstalking for allegedly recording and disseminating false information on social media with the intent to incite public disorder.
The DSS claimed that Olanrewaju, Adekunle, and Adetola conspired to commit a felony by deliberately misdirecting electronic messages on social media to embarrass the agency and its officials.

Additionally, the prosecution alleged that Ibrahim Olanrewaju and Adetu Adekunle used an iPhone 12 Pro Max to record and circulate misleading content online, with the alleged intent to discredit the DSS and provoke public unrest.
Adetu Adekunle was also specifically accused of using a Techno POP 8 device to record and spread false information about the DSS on social media.
The offences, according to the DSS, violate Section 516 of the Criminal Code Act, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, as well as Sections 27(1)(b), 24(1)(b), 24(c)(i), and 11 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 (as amended), 2024.
