Border towns in Lagos State experienced low levels of human activity, business operations, and general liveliness as the local government elections commenced, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Our correspondent observed that daily activities were subdued in several border communities, including Ojuore, Ayobo, Otta, Aparadija, and Sango area.

In the early hours of the day, bus movement was largely halted as residents attempted to navigate the election-related movement restrictions.
According to the Lagos State commissioner of Police Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, the restriction of movement was enforced from 6:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. to ensure a smooth and secure electoral process.

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission is conducting the polls across 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas (LCDAs) in the state.
