The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has confirmed that 21 ships are currently unloading petroleum products and other goods at Lagos ports, including Apapa, Lekki, and Tin-Can Island, Eko Hot Blog reports
According to the NPA’s daily ‘Shipping Position’ report, the vessels are discharging a mix of aviation fuel, petrol, diesel, bulk gas, cargo trucks, bulk wheat, diesel, bulk alkaline, general cargo, bulk sugar, fresh fish, soya bean oil, bulk clinker, and containers.

In addition, the NPA revealed that 41 more ships carrying petroleum products, food items, and general cargo are scheduled to arrive between February 28 and March 7.

Expected arrivals will include bulk wheat, bulk sugar, crude oil, bulk fertiliser, bulk salt, petrol, and containers loaded with various goods.
The report also noted that 17 ships had arrived at the ports and are awaiting berthing. These vessels carry bulk urea, diesel, aviation fuel, crude oil, ethanol, bulk wheat, general cargo, and bulk pallets.
The NPA stressed that these operations reflect the continued efficiency and capacity of Lagos ports to manage a diverse range of cargo, ensuring timely delivery and import handling across Nigeria.
