Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reassured residents, investors and visitors that Lagos remains safe, secure and conducive for business and economic activities.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the governor gave the assurance on Tuesday after a meeting of the Lagos State Security Council, attended by top military, police and intelligence officers.

Speaking at the ongoing Invest Lagos 3.0 Summit, Sanwo-Olu highlighted the strong participation of both local and international investors, describing it as a reflection of growing confidence in the state’s security and investment climate.
“We are hosting an international event, Invest Lagos 3.0, which has attracted foreign and local investors who are either looking to expand their investments or establish new businesses in Lagos,” the governor said.
To underscore the state’s security readiness, Sanwo-Olu introduced members of the security team present at the summit, prompting applause from participants.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to maintaining peace and protecting lives and property across the state.
“We will continue to be vigilant and ensure that our residents and visitors are well protected. Lagos remains safe and we will keep it so,” he stated.
The Security Council meeting was attended by Brigadier-General Ayokunle Owolabi, Commander of the 9 Brigade; Commander A. Adams-Aliyu of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Beecroft; Air Commodore Mohammed Imam, Commander of the 651 Base Services Group, Ikeja; and representatives of the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS).
The Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, was represented at the meeting by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Adesina Lawal.
The governor noted that the state government would continue working closely with security agencies to strengthen surveillance, improve response capabilities and sustain Lagos’ reputation as Nigeria’s leading commercial and investment destination.
