Lakurawa Terrorist Group Kills 13 Vigilantes in Kebbi State Attack

Tragedy struck Morai community in Augie Local Government Area of Kebbi State on Sunday, as the Lakurawa terrorist group launched a deadly attack, claiming the lives of 13 vigilantes.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the vigilantes were attempting to resist the assailants, who also rustled cattle from the community.

Local resident Malam Ibrahim Augie said that upon receiving word of the attack, numerous vigilante members mobilized to repel the terrorists.
Unfortunately, the vigilantes were ambushed by the well-coordinated group, resulting in the death of 13 members.
He said, “The vigilantes hid to attack and recapture the rustled cattle, but they didn’t know the Lakurawa had already seen them and they were shot and killed,” he said.
The police spokesman, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, could not be reached at the time of filing this report as his line was not going through.
