She affirmed that LASTVEB is leading the national effort in technical education as reflected in its mission and vision, just as she proposed that Boards of Technical Education in the South West should come together to develop a strategy that will make technical education accessible and acceptable to all.

While pointing out the need to develop additional courses in technical colleges as dictated by societal needs to solve the unemployment problem in the country, the Executive Secretary also submitted that both boards should work together to turn around the apathy of citizens towards technical education, pointing out that LASTVEB programmes have always aligned with the T.H.E.M.E.S.
