The four-day convention, dubbed “the mother of all conventions,” blended celebration, reflection, and transition. It opened on Thursday, September 18, with a lively cookout featuring grills, finger foods, and music. The atmosphere was described by many as reminiscent of a picnic at Bar Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos only this time, without the water.
On Friday, September 19, a symposium was followed by a glamorous black-tie dinner anchored by Hon. T.J. Abass, whose ease and charisma set the tone for the evening. The highlight came when Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was honored as Patron of Eko Club International.
The event, graced by the Eyo masquerade, also saw several distinguished members receive awards for their achievements.
Saturday, September 20, brought the “Walk for Life,” pioneered by Hon. Rokosu Lawal, now a beloved tradition at the club’s gatherings. Members turned out in large numbers, demonstrating vigor and unity.
Later that day, the general meeting dissolved the outgoing executives led by President Emeritus Olushi, clearing the way for elections.

The election was transparent, peaceful, and widely praised. The results produced the following new executive council (2025–2027):
- President: Hon. Dr. Lola Ogbara-Alogba
- Vice President: Hon. Dr. Tayo Ogunyemi
- General Secretary: Hon. (Yeye) Bisi Rokosu-Lawal
- Assistant General Secretary: Hon. Folasade Small
- Financial Secretary: Hon. Bolanle Onikosi Rosiji

The convention closed on Sunday, September 21, with a colorful gala night where the new executives were formally inaugurated. Members described the election of Ogbara-Alogba as a victory not only for the club but for women in leadership.
The night ended in style with music by Austin and his band, as members danced long into the night, bringing the historic convention to a joyous close.
