An unidentified man was stabbed to death during a violent clash involving youths in the Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, Eko Hot Blog reports

According to eyewitnesses, the conflict began when a philanthropist arrived to distribute alms to some needy residents in the area.

The distribution of money reportedly led to a disagreement among some of the youths, which quickly escalated into a deadly fight.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ekiti State Police Command, SP Sunday Abutu, said two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
As of the time of this report, security personnel had cordoned off the area to maintain order and prevent further violence.
