A man identified as Nwalozie Chiwendu has allegedly killed his elder brother, Chidiebere Isaiah, in Ofeh community, Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident reportedly occurred around 4pm on Thursday after the suspect accused his brother of witchcraft and allegedly hindering his success.

Sources said the suspect attacked the victim with a machete during a confrontation. The victim sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to the hospital but was confirmed dead on the way.
It was gathered that after the attack, the suspect fled the scene before he could be apprehended by residents.
The Youth President of Ofeh community, Chinonso Chima, described the incident as unfortunate. He said he received a distress call and advised residents to take the victim to the hospital while he made his way to the scene.

According to him, the matter has been reported to the police, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect. He also appealed to residents to remain calm and avoid taking the law into their own hands.
The spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, stating that preliminary information indicated the suspect attacked his brother following allegations of witchcraft.
She added that the victim’s body has been deposited in the mortuary and that a manhunt has been launched to arrest the suspect as investigations continue.
