A tragic incident unfolded in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Monday as a military jet crashed into a school campus, triggering a massive fireball explosion.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Bangladesh Air Force F-7 BGI training jet went down in the Uttara area of the city, hitting the premises of Milestone School and College.

One person has been confirmed dead, while four others sustained injuries and were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital for urgent treatment.
According to a brief statement from the Bangladesh Army’s public relations department, the downed aircraft belonged to the country’s Air Force.
Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic and chaos as flames engulfed parts of the school compound shortly after the explosion.

Local fire service officer Lima Khan told reporters via phone that emergency services responded swiftly to contain the blaze.
She confirmed that the deceased was found near the crash site and that rescue teams acted fast to evacuate the injured.
Parents and staff members reportedly rushed to the scene following news of the crash, fearing for the safety of students present during the incident.
Authorities have since cordoned off the area, with investigators on-site to determine the cause of the crash.
There has been no official comment yet on whether the jet experienced a technical failure or human error.
This is not the first aviation-related tragedy to hit South Asia in recent weeks.
Just last month, an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad, killing all 241 passengers on board.
Preliminary findings into that incident suggest the aircraft lost engine thrust moments after departure, causing a fatal descent.
In the latest Bangladesh crash, authorities have launched a full-scale probe to uncover what went wrong during the training flight.
The Bangladesh military has also promised to release further updates as investigations progress.
Officials have asked the public to avoid spreading unverified videos and speculations online, urging calm.
