EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Red Devils boast a massive 233.6 million followers across five major platforms — X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube — putting them far ahead of domestic rivals and placing them third globally behind only Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Arsenal are a distant second among Premier League clubs with 114.1 million followers, just under half of United’s total. Manchester United’s dominance is even more notable given the club’s recent footballing struggles, proving the enduring strength of their global brand.
Globally, Real Madrid lead the chart with a record-breaking 473.7 million followers, while Barcelona, despite recent La Liga triumphs, are second with 427.4 million. Although Real dominate across most platforms, Barcelona maintain a slight edge over them on YouTube.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), ranked fourth, have 199.4 million followers and tie with Manchester United on Instagram. Manchester City, current Premier League champions, are in sixth place globally with 179.5 million, edged out by Italian side Juventus in fifth with 174.9 million followers. Juventus outperform City across all platforms except Facebook.
Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal round out the Premier League’s presence in the global top 10, occupying the 7th, 8th, and 10th positions respectively.
Tottenham Hotspur sit just outside the top 10 in 11th place with 108.1 million followers but rank as the most followed English club on TikTok with 40.6 million followers — only Real Madrid, Barcelona, and PSG have higher figures on that platform.
Bayern Munich are ninth overall with 149.1 million followers, with Facebook being their strongest platform. Atletico Madrid follow in 12th place with 80.2 million and have the highest annual growth rate in the top 20, recording a 23.1% increase.
