The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded significant seizures of animal/wildlife products and illegal timber trade, valued at N5.93 billion, according to Comptroller-General Wale Adeniyi.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a statement released on Monday in Abuja, Adeniyi highlighted the NCS’s efforts to combat illicit trade and protect Nigeria’s natural resources.

As part of its intensified response to evolving narcotics-related threats, the NCS also reported 105 seizures of narcotics and illicit drugs in 2024.
