Odo Noforija Kingdom came alive with color, rhythm, and deep cultural expressions as residents, indigenes, and visitors gathered to celebrate the revered Eebi Kilajolu Festival.

From the young to the elderly, participation was massive, reflecting a strong sense of belonging and pride among the community.
Speaking during the celebration, the Kabiyesi of Odo Noforija Kingdom expressed appreciation for the unity displayed and the commitment of the people to preserving their cultural legacy.
He stressed that the festival is not just a moment of celebration but one of deep spiritual relevance.
“The essence of this festival is to cleanse the community, offer prayers for all sons and daughters of the kingdom both at home and abroad, and to ensure the continued safety and peace of our land,” he stated.
He further noted that the Eebi Kilajolu Festival remains a vital tradition that binds the people together and strengthens communal harmony.
The event attracted several royal fathers, chiefs, and dignitaries from across Epe Division, all of whom came to honor the Kabiyesi and identify with the people of Odo Noforija Kingdom.
The revered monarch of Odomola Kingdom, Oba Adeshina Adebowale, congratulated the Kabiyesi and the entire community for sustaining their cultural heritage.
“I commend the Kabiyesi and the people of Odo Noforija for preserving our traditions. This festival is a true reflection of our cultural pride,” he said.
Also, the traditional ruler of Odo Egiri Kingdom, Oba musiliu Oliwo, praised the significance of the celebration.
“Festivals like this strengthen unity among our people and promote peaceful coexistence across communities,” he remarked.
From Ladaba Kingdom, Oba Nureni Sikiru Odedina lauded the commitment of the people to their heritage.
“This celebration symbolizes continuity and identity. I pray for sustained peace and development in Odo Noforija,” he added.
Similarly, the monarch of Owu Ikosi Kingdom, Oba Nelson Ogunlari, commended the colorful and well-organized nature of the festival.
“The cultural richness displayed here is commendable. Our youths must continue to uphold these traditions,” he noted.
In his goodwill message, Chief Tajudeen expressed joy over the successful hosting of the event.
“This festival promotes unity and cultural pride. I celebrate with the Kabiyesi and the entire kingdom,” he said.
Likewise, Chief Okeowo Alaba applauded the peaceful conduct of the celebration.
“The organization and atmosphere of this festival are truly commendable. May the kingdom continue to grow in peace and prosperity,” he stated.
The Eebi Kilajolu Festival once again reaffirmed its place as a vital cultural event, not only celebrating tradition but also fostering unity, spiritual cleansing, and collective identity among the people of Odo Noforija Kingdom.
