The Super Eagles of Nigeria will now face Jordan and Iran in Turkey later this month after the planned international friendlies were moved from Amman due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Originally set to be played in the Jordanian capital, the matches have been shifted to Antalya because of security concerns and movement restrictions in the region, Eko Hot Blog reports.

Nigeria will kick off the two-game schedule against Iran on Friday, 27 March, followed by a clash with Jordan on Tuesday, 31 March. Both games will now take place in the Turkish coastal city instead of Amman.

On the opening day, the Super Eagles face Iran while Jordan takes on Costa Rica. The series concludes on 31 March with Nigeria playing Jordan and Iran meeting Costa Rica.
The friendlies provide Nigeria’s coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate players and tactics ahead of future international competitions.

While Iran has secured World Cup qualification, reports indicate the team may withdraw from the tournament due to the ongoing conflict involving Israel and the United States, the co-hosts of the upcoming competition.
