The Nigeria Talent Accelerator Network has officially launched at the Anthonia, Ikoyi, Lagos, bringing together top government officials, private sector leaders, and stakeholders to strengthen Nigeria’s talent ecosystem.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the initiative, organised under the National Talent Export Programme in partnership with the Accelerators Network and others, aims to promote innovation, skill development, and global competitiveness while positioning Nigeria as Africa’s hub for digital and creative services.

In her welcome address, National Coordinator of NATEP, Teju Abisoye, described the launch as a bold move toward bridging the nation’s skill gap and aligning talent with opportunities.
Manager of Reskilling Revolution and Skills Initiative at the World Economic Forum, Genesis Elhussein, spoke on ways Nigeria can integrate reskilling strategies to address automation, AI, and global job shifts.
In her presentation, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration, noting that the launch reflects the government’s commitment to building a unified structure that boosts Nigeria’s global competitiveness.
Also speaking, Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, said the programme aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s human capital development agenda, stressing that education and innovation remain vital to national growth.
A panel session moderated by Chido Munyati of WEF featured Oduwole, Alausa, Samaila Zubairu, and Boye Olusanya, who discussed strategies for workforce development and employability.
Another session, moderated by Teju Abisoye, featured representatives from UNDP, NUTM, NECA, and Promasidor, who called for stronger accountability and sustained partnerships.
Elhussein later led a call to action on accelerating skill transition through collaboration, linking NATEP’s mission to the WEF’s Reskilling Revolution.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by Usman Maruf of NATEP, who appreciated all attendees and encouraged continued networking among stakeholders.
