Nigerian Army Rounds Up 7 Bandits In Kaduna, Recover Ammunitions

The Nigerian army, along with the Naval troops, has been successful in neutralizing 7 bandits in Kaduna State.

In their operation, they were able to recover ammunition from them in the Kasso area of Chikun L. G. A.

Several other bandits escaped from the scene with bullet wounds.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that a combined team of Nigerian Army and Navy troops have neutralized seven bandits in the Kasso general area of Chikun local government area of Kaduna state.
According to a statement by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, the troops engaged the bandits around Ungwan Rimi village near a river and promptly subdued them after an intense gun duel.

The encounter resulted in the neutralization of seven bandits, while several others escaped with bullet wounds. The troops also recovered five motorcycles, 153 rounds of ammunition, seven magazines, and three mobile phones during the operation.
Governor Nasir El-Rufai praised the troops for their bravery and doggedness while also commending the leadership of Maj Gen T.A. Lagbaja, GOC One Division, and Cdre M.E. Ejumabone, Commandant of Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology, for the successful operation.
The Kaduna State Government had earlier urged the security agencies to intensify their efforts to rid the state of criminal elements, especially bandits who have been terrorizing communities in the state.
In recent months, there have been several reports of banditry and other criminal activities in parts of Kaduna State, which has prompted increased security measures to tackle the menace.
