EKO HOT BLOG reports that Sofekun, who embarked on the expedition through Europe and Africa, arrived in Lagos on Sunday, October 5, 2025, to a rousing reception. He described the mission as both physically demanding and deeply meaningful, driven by a passion to promote emotional wellness among boys.
Speaking about his motivation, Sofekun said the campaign was part of Project HELP—an advocacy initiative designed to give boys hope, encourage emotional openness, and inspire responsible leadership.
“This ride was more than just an adventure; it was about starting vital conversations,” he said. “We must teach our boys that it’s okay not to be okay. The boy child also feels pain, but society tells him to hide it. When boys don’t heal, they grow into emotionally broken men—and that affects everyone.”
He urged parents, educators, and policymakers to prioritise the emotional well-being of boys, warning that neglect often leads to radicalisation, cultism, and violence.
“We may not be able to fix broken men, but we can help prevent boys from taking that same path,” he added.
His project manager, Uchechi Uchenna, who documented the entire expedition, described the mission as a global call for empathy and awareness.
“This journey was never just about travel—it was about purpose. When boys are silenced, men grow up broken, and society suffers,” Uchenna said.
Sofekun began his 99-day journey on June 28, 2025, in Dublin, Ireland, crossing various terrains, climates, and cultures before completing his inspiring journey in Lagos—marking a triumphant homecoming for his cause.
