EKO HOT BLOG reports that Adeyeye, who spoke on the state of the nation, said Tinubu’s removal of fuel subsidy and floating of the naira were tough but unavoidable choices that saved the country from becoming like Venezuela or Zimbabwe. According to him, without the reforms, Nigerians would have been forced to abandon vehicles and ride bicycles due to unaffordable fuel prices.
“The President took the painful decisions at the right time. If subsidy had remained, Nigeria’s finances would have crumbled. Today, the naira has stabilised around ₦1,500, exports are increasing, and we are seeing growth in agriculture and mineral resources,” Adeyeye said.
He highlighted Tinubu’s agricultural programmes, including the deployment of 2,000 tractors and the establishment of local assembly plants, which he said will revolutionise food production. He also listed major road projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road and the Badagry-Sokoto expressway as evidence of the government’s focus on infrastructure.
On the 2027 elections, Adeyeye dismissed suggestions that Tinubu’s popularity in the North is declining. He expressed confidence that the President will win more northern states than he did in 2023, comparing the situation to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s re-election in 2003.

Adeyeye also dismissed opposition claims of “Yorubanisation” in appointments, stressing that the North still occupies over 50 percent of key federal positions. He described the accusations as baseless and politically motivated.
“In Tinubu, Nigerians have the right leader for this moment,” he declared.
