Speaking on the president’s commitment to strengthening federal-state relations, Governor Sani stated:
“No president in Nigeria’s history has supported governors and sub-national governments the way President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently doing. As a result, it is unlikely that any governor in Nigeria would go against the president.”

He noted that Tinubu’s inclusive approach has shifted the way national issues are tackled, particularly in northern Nigeria.
“For the first time, the government is engaging non-state actors in discussing development and assessing the situation in the North,” he added. “This unprecedented approach reflects a shift in how national issues are being addressed.”
Governor Sani’s comments have sparked reactions across the political landscape, as stakeholders begin to anticipate the dynamics of the 2027 general election.
