The arrest came after the homeowner reported the incident upon returning from a church service.
According to Daniel Aidemenbor, who speaks for the NSCDC in Ondo, the stolen items included valuable electronics like an Apple iPad, various household appliances, clothes, and even food.
NSCDC officers managed to trace the stolen iPad using its SIM card, which ultimately led them to the suspects. James Emmanuel cooperated with the authorities, providing crucial information that helped in the capture of the other three individuals.

Although James Emmanuel has been released on bail following legal advice, the ongoing investigation revealed that these suspects are allegedly connected to several other break-ins within the same community. A search of their residence by the NSCDC led to the recovery of the stolen goods, and all the suspects have reportedly confessed to committing the crime.
The NSCDC is urging members of the public to remain watchful and to report any suspicious activities to help in the fight against crime.
