The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikosi–Ejinrin Branch, has held its first official familiarization meeting with newly appointed youth-focused cabinet members, signaling a renewed push for youth inclusion in governance within the council area.
Eko Hot Blog report that the meeting brought together the NYCN leadership and key government officials, including the Supervisor for Youth, Hon. Olamiji Ajewole, and the Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, Hon. Gbenga Adekoya.

The engagement provided a platform to build a productive working relationship and align strategies for youth development across the Local Council Development Area.
Discussions at the meeting also focused on collaboration with relevant departments, particularly in driving impactful programmes through the Department of Agriculture, Youth, and Social Services, with an emphasis on people-oriented initiatives.
The youth body commended the Executive Chairman of Ikosi–Ejinrin LCDA, Wale Raji Anomo, for his commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive governance.
They noted that his decision to appoint young and capable individuals into key positions reflects a forward-thinking leadership style that prioritizes youth participation in decision-making.
In their remarks, Hon. Ajewole and Hon. Adekoya reaffirmed their readiness to work closely with youth groups and organizations to achieve meaningful results.
They emphasized the importance of collaboration, accountability, and shared responsibility in advancing development within the community.
The NYCN Ikosi–Ejinrin Branch reiterated its commitment to supporting the administration and mobilizing young people toward achieving sustainable growth and development at the grassroots level.
