The South Korean forward, who joined Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015, has been a key figure at the club, netting 173 goals across 454 appearances.

Son played a pivotal role in Tottenham’s historic triumph over Manchester United in the Europa League final last May, securing the club’s first major trophy in 17 years while serving as team captain.

Tottenham are currently in Seoul for pre-season preparations, and Son is expected to lead the team as captain in Sunday’s friendly against Newcastle United.
This match could mark his final appearance for the club on home soil, adding a sentimental layer to his farewell.
Speaking on Son’s departure, Thomas Frank, praised Son as a true legend and one of the Premier League’s finest players.
He cited that if it were to be Sonny’s last game, it is fitting that he did it before his home fans.
“It would be a beautiful ending to a fantastic career,” he added
