A newly formed committee has finalized a week-long program for the coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
The inaugural committee meeting, held today, was chaired by Chief Bayo Oyero and attended by Commissioner Demola Ojo, agreed on a detailed schedule of activities for the September 26 event, Eko Hot Blog reports.

The program will begin on Monday, September 22, with an interdenominational service at the Olubadan Palace. The Central Council for Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) will organize the service.

The celebration continues with a Cultural Day on Tuesday, promoted by the CCII and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. A coronation lecture by renowned historian Toyin Falola is also part of the plan.
A Mega Praise worship will take place on Thursday at the Civic Centre in Idi-Ape, Ibadan. The new Olubadan’s coronation will hold on Friday at the Mapo Hall.
The Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, released a statement on Monday confirming the events.
He noted that key representatives of the Olubadan and other government officials attended the inaugural meeting. The attendees included the Commissioners for Culture, Women’s Affairs, and Information.
