Osun To Implement New Minimum Wage Soon – Adeleke Confirms
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has revealed that his administration is actively working on implementing a new minimum wage for civil servants in the state.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Speaking at the 14th convocation ceremony of Osun State University, held at the institution’s main campus in Osogbo on Saturday, Governor Adeleke acknowledged the economic challenges faced by workers, particularly due to the removal of fuel subsidies.

Governor Adeleke assured state employees that his government is committed to easing their financial burden.
“We are working on the modalities for the implementation of the newly approved minimum wage. This is part of our commitment to mitigating the impact of recent economic changes on workers in the state,” he stated.
The governor also highlighted his administration’s dedication to the development of Osun State University.
He announced the completion of an office complex at the Isale-Osun campus to support the accreditation process for the university’s health programs.
Additionally, the ultra-modern Anatomy Complex was commissioned earlier that day, alongside ongoing projects such as the construction of roads leading to student areas at Sasha Market and other university campuses.
Governor Adeleke further emphasized his administration’s prompt payment of a year’s arrears to staff members and the provision of palliative allowances to all workers.
In his address, Governor Adeleke urged the university community to maintain peace and unity, stressing that a harmonious environment is crucial for the institution’s continued growth. He called on parents and guardians to remain supportive of their children as they transition into the next phase of their lives, and encouraged staff and students to focus on the progress of the university.
