Osun PDP Alleges Plot to Assassinate Governor Ademola Adeleke
- According to the PDP, plans to assassinate Governor Ademola Adeleke have been in place since the APC’s electoral defeat in 2022.

In a shocking development, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has raised alarm over alleged attempts to assassinate Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the party has accused Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun of complicity in the plot, suggesting that the recent deployment of special forces in the state was intended to facilitate the governor’s assassination.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, PDP Chairman Sunday Bisi expressed concern over the destabilization of the state and the disruption of the upcoming local government council elections.
He called on the international community to intervene and urged the IGP to refrain from enabling orchestrated attempts on Governor Adeleke’s life.
According to the PDP, plans to assassinate Governor Adeleke have been in place since the APC’s electoral defeat in 2022.
The PDP accuses Mr. Egbetokun of intentionally deploying Special Forces to escort miscreants into local government councils in the state, describing the move as a “blatant coup.”
The party further claims that one of the primary objectives of these orchestrated efforts is to assassinate Governor Adeleke, whose authority as the Chief Security Officer of Osun State has been openly challenged by Mr. Egbetokun.
