Speaking on Saturday, Otti declared that his government would not allow political distractions to derail its development agenda, insisting that the task of rebuilding Abia State remains his overriding priority.

He maintained that neither individuals nor groups have the mandate to divert the attention of his administration from its responsibilities, adding that political noise would not determine the direction of his government.
The governor assured residents that his administration would continue to act in the best interest of the state, noting that speculation about future elections does not concern him at this time.
Otti also played down discussions surrounding his political future, attributing his emergence as governor in 2023 to divine grace, and expressing confidence that his path would unfold according to God’s will.

Addressing concerns raised by the church leadership over flooding and poor drainage around the worship centre, the governor directed the Commissioner for Works to ensure that ongoing drainage projects are extended to cover the Umuikaa junction.
He further apologised to residents for the inconvenience caused by dust and traffic disruptions linked to the Umuikaa junction–Owerrinta road reconstruction, explaining that the discomfort was a temporary phase of a broader development effort.
Otti revealed that the road project, although a federal highway, was being handled by the state government following approval from the Federal Government, adding that similar infrastructure work is ongoing in other parts of Abia.
According to him, the goal of his administration is to ensure that visible development reflects immediately once anyone enters Abia State.

The governor assured the church and the wider community of his commitment to transparent and sincere leadership, while appreciating their prayers and continued support.
In separate remarks, church leaders and members of political support groups commended Otti’s performance, describing his administration as impactful and his leadership as worthy of continuity.
The church also reiterated its appeal for urgent drainage intervention around the premises and adjoining areas to address recurring flooding.
The service featured special prayers for the governor and the state and was attended by his wife, Priscilla Otti, top government officials and other dignitaries.
