A prayer and support group in Oyo State has rallied support for Senator Sharafadeen Alli and President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The development comes amid growing political activities in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 elections, with the All Progressives Congress intensifying efforts to strengthen its grassroots structure and reclaim the state.
Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has emerged as one of the prominent APC figures linked with the party’s governorship ambitions in the state.
In May 2026, Alli expressed confidence that the APC would reclaim the Oyo State Government House in 2027 after a meeting with President Tinubu.
The latest mobilisation also comes against the backdrop of broader efforts by APC leaders and support groups in Oyo to build support for Tinubu ahead of the presidential election.
In April, the PBAT Again 2027 Support Group unveiled a campaign centre in Ibadan and mobilised APC leaders and members from the state’s 33 local government areas in support of Tinubu’s re-election.

The group said its activities would be driven by grassroots mobilisation and political engagement as the country approaches the 2027 polls.
The endorsement of Alli is expected to add momentum to the political contest in Oyo, where the APC is seeking to regain control of the state after losing the governorship election to the Peoples Democratic Party in 2019 and 2023.
With political alignments already taking shape, the APC is expected to intensify consultations and mobilisation across the state as the 2027 elections draw closer.
