EKO HOT BLOG reports that the opposition party urged the President to use the remaining two years of his administration to prioritise the welfare of citizens, stating that the essence of Eid-el-Kabir lies in sacrifice, compassion, and humility.
“The PDP urges President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to use the remaining part of his tenure to focus on the well-being of Nigerians in line with the demand for selflessness and submission to the will of God as signified by the Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” the statement said.
The party also called for concrete action against corruption, including full recovery of looted public funds. According to the PDP, such recovered resources should be invested in critical infrastructure, the productive sector, and national security improvements.
“It is imperative that stolen funds are recovered and channelled towards infrastructure provision, revamping our economy, and equipping our security agencies,” the PDP added.
Amid worsening economic hardship, heightened insecurity, and rising public frustration, the PDP encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful, united, and prayerful. The party advised citizens to draw strength from shared values and support one another during these trying times.

“The PDP charges Nigerians not to give up hope but remain patriotic, continue to share with one another, and pray for divine intervention in the nation’s affairs,” the statement read.
The party also extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful across the country on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, wishing all Nigerians peace and joy during the holiday.
