As the July 12 local government elections approach in Lagos State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is intensifying efforts to gain control of Alimosho Local Government and its five Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
Eko Hot Blog reports that speaking during a weekend mobilization event, Isiaka Shodiya, the PDP chairman in Alimosho, expressed confidence in the party’s readiness and grassroots presence across the area.
He noted that the party structure was well-positioned in communities such as Igando-Ikotun, Egbe-Idimu, Mosan-Okunola, Ayobo-Ipaja, and Agbado-Oke Odo.

“We are proud of the PDP today. We are united and determined to win across all council areas in this local government.
“PDP is fully on ground in Alimosho and Lagos State. By the special grace of Almighty God, we shall be victorious,” Shodiya said.
Shodiya emphasized the unity and determination within the PDP ranks, adding that supporters are actively engaging residents and rallying behind the party’s candidates.
Calling for a credible process, Shodiya appealed to the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) to uphold fairness and transparency in the upcoming polls.
He also criticized the performance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), urging voters to demand accountability and embrace change through the ballot.
The PDP formally presented its chairmanship and councillorship candidates earlier in the week, signaling its commitment to contesting the elections vigorously across all council areas.
