He praised Governor Makinde’s leadership, noting that his administration has remained focused on governance, institutional development and delivering benefits to the people.

According to him, the governor has also played a key role in sustaining democratic values in the country.
The party reiterated its allegiance to its national leadership under Aminu Turaki, while positioning itself as a credible alternative committed to stability, good governance and national progress.
Addressing recent rumours, the PDP dismissed claims of an impeachment plan against Makinde, describing them as unfounded and aimed at creating unnecessary political unrest.
The party also criticised former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, over remarks it said could inflame tensions.
It accused him of making statements that politicise sensitive issues and undermine public confidence.

Atofarati urged Nigerians to remain calm and united, cautioning against individuals he described as political actors seeking to destabilise the country for personal interests.
The controversy follows allegations by Fayose suggesting that Makinde was plotting moves against the Olubadan of Ibadan, a claim that has been repeatedly denied by both the Oyo State Government and the palace.
