Honorable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, paid a visit to the staff and students of the Federal College of Education (Technical) on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Dr. Alausa had a boardroom meeting with the institution’s administrators to discuss pressing issues and challenges in a bid to provide workable solutions and chart a course forward.
The boardroom meeting’s key takeaways included the issue of half-hearted commitment among ND program students, who frequently use the program to pass the time in order to get into a degree program elsewhere, as well as low student enrollment, which leads to underpopulation and underutilization of the institution’s opportunities.
Following the meeting, the Minister and his entourage were led on a brief tour of the institution’s facilities, which included various technical laboratories and training centers, as well as a mini-agricultural crop cultivation and poultry section.
