The Ogun State Police Command has deployed officers to rescue Mrs. Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police Hakeem Odumosu, who was abducted on Thursday night in Arepo, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.
Command spokesperson CSP Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident in a Friday statement, revealing that four masked men attacked Mrs. Odumosu around 9:55 p.m. as she arrived home on Aminu Street, Orange Estate.

The assailants reportedly dragged her from her Lexus SUV and took her through a swampy area to an unknown location.
“The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Warewa Division immediately led a team of officers to the scene and initiated a search operation in the swampy bush area,” said Odutola.
The DPO has also engaged local security forces, collaborating with community heads in Warewa and Maaba to expand the search into nearby riverine areas.

Odutola assured that the police are leveraging digital intelligence tools to aid the victim’s swift rescue.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has been briefed and has activated all necessary operations to resolve the situation.
“The police remain committed to bringing Mrs. Odumosu back safely,” Odutola stated, adding that further updates will be provided as the search progresses.

Authorities have also appealed to the public for information that could assist in locating the victim and apprehending the kidnappers.
