EkoHotBlog earlier reported that the iconic musician revealed the sad news on Saturday through his social media platforms, where he shared a heartfelt tribute to his late mother.
In the post, he uploaded a picture of himself alongside his mother, accompanied by an emotional message.
The post reads: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the demise of King Wasiu Ayinde’s cherished mother. May her soul find eternal rest. Alhaja Alimotu Shadiya Omoakeredolu Aya Anifowoshe. A virtuous mother. Rest in peace, Iya rere.”
Later, K1, fondly referred to as the King of Fuji Music, shared a touching moment with his followers by posting a video of a phone conversation he had with President Tinubu. In the video, the President personally reached out to offer his sympathies and comfort the grieving musician.
Sharing the video on social media, K1 wrote: “The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria called to console the King of Fuji Music.”
Alhaja Halima Anifowoshe, who passed away at the remarkable age of 105, was celebrated by her son and admirers as a supportive and loving figure.
