Eko Hot Blog gathered that French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez disclosed on Monday that law enforcement agencies recorded more than 890 arrests nationwide, representing a significant increase compared to similar incidents recorded last year.

Authorities reported incidents of vandalism, including vehicles being set ablaze, businesses looted, and confrontations between groups of youths and security personnel.
On Sunday, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the victorious PSG squad to the presidential palace, praising the club’s achievement while condemning the violence that accompanied the celebrations.

Macron described the unrest as unacceptable and stressed that such actions had no place in football or sports culture.
Officials also confirmed that a motorcyclist lost his life while taking part in victory celebrations around Paris. In addition, several violent incidents, including stabbings and assaults, were reported in different parts of the country.
Despite the disturbances, PSG’s historic European success remains one of the club’s biggest sporting achievements, even as authorities continue to assess the damage and investigate the violence linked to the celebrations.
