The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress to remain united and committed to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the enator Abiru made the call on Saturday after participating in the APC Presidential Primary Election held at Ward A4, Aga/Ijomu in Ikorodu, where he cast his vote in support of President Tinubu.
The lawmaker described the primary election as peaceful, transparent, and well coordinated, noting that the exercise reflected the democratic ideals, discipline, and unity that continue to define the ruling party.
According to him, the successful conduct of the exercise reaffirmed the collective commitment of party members toward sustaining purposeful leadership, national stability, economic growth, and the continued advancement of Nigeria.
Senator Abiru commended the leadership of the APC, electoral officials, party stakeholders, and members for their dedication, maturity, and orderly conduct throughout the process.
He further stressed the importance of unity among party faithful, expressing confidence in the leadership capacity of President Tinubu and the progressive vision of the APC.
“Together, we will continue to strengthen the foundations of good governance and build a more prosperous Nigeria for all,” Abiru stated while addressing newsmen after the exercise.
The senator also reiterated the need for party members across Lagos East and the nation at large to remain steadfast and committed to the collective success of the APC ahead of the forthcoming elections.
It would be recalled that Senator Abiru had earlier rallied support for Obafemi Hamzat following his emergence as the APC governorship flagbearer in Lagos State.
