Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle and his assistant Hedi Taboubi embarked on a European tour this week, visiting key Nigerian internationals at their respective clubs.
The duo met with Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, and Alex Iwobi as part of Chelle’s efforts to strengthen ties with his squad ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
On Friday night, Chelle attended the Ligue 1 clash between Nantes and Brest at the Stade de la Beaujoire, where Simon featured for 68 minutes in Nantes’ 2-0 defeat.

The visit is part of Chelle’s wider engagement with Super Eagles players based in Europe as he prepares for his first assignment as head coach.
Appointed last month, the Malian tactician will take charge of the Super Eagles for the first time in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda’s Amavubi on March 21 at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Four days later, Nigeria will host Zimbabwe’s Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo for their matchday six encounter.
