EKO HOT BLOG reports that Speaking during his first official press conference on Thursday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, the 31-year-old expressed deep concern over the national team’s position in the qualifiers. “Only a miracle would take Nigeria to the World Cup, because right now we are in deep shits,” Musa said frankly.
He referenced a developing controversy involving South Africa’s alleged use of ineligible players against Lesotho. Reports suggest that two South African players had accumulated enough yellow cards to warrant suspension. If FIFA upholds the complaint and adjusts the results, Nigeria could benefit through reallocated points.
“If FIFA cancels the scores of Lesotho against South Africa, then the possibility would be that the points go to Nigeria,” he explained.
Turning to his new role with Kano Pillars, Musa outlined a nine-point agenda to restore the club’s lost glory. “We are going for the trophy this time around,” he said. “I urge Kano sports lovers to support us fully.”
Addressing concerns over juggling his playing and managerial roles, he clarified: “On the pitch, I’m a player and subject to coaching decisions. But outside, I’m the boss.”

Musa called for increased government and corporate support, noting that sponsorship efforts are already underway. He also highlighted the club’s growing digital presence as a sign of renewed momentum.
