The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended a suspect in connection with the gruesome murder and mutilation of a pregnant nurse.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the arrest follows investigations linking the individual to the horrific crime that has shocked the local community.

The suspect, Somtochukwu Nwafor, was taken into custody by the police in Oyi Local Government Area, Ogbunike, in connection with the crime. The police are currently on the hunt for the prime suspect and other accomplices.
The spokesperson for the police force, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest and the recovery of human body parts at a shrine.
According to her, the mutilated body of the nurse was discovered in a drainage pit. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to being the girlfriend of the prime suspect, Chimerie Obika Elobidi, and revealed how they sold human body parts to herbalists in the area.
Further investigation revealed that the victim was lured to the suspect’s house under the pretense of receiving medical attention.
SP Ikenga reaffirmed that the police are intensifying efforts to apprehend the lead suspect and his collaborators.
At the same time, the commissioner of police, CP Ikioye condemned the act describing it as “inhumane, criminal and an affront to public morality and sanctity of life”
Whilst the investigation is still going on, Ikioye urges anyone with information regarding the case should come forward assuring them protection.
