President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said his administration has succeeded in stabilising Nigeria’s telecommunications sector after years of operational challenges and declining investment.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Tinubu stated this on Friday while addressing Nigerians as part of activities marking the third anniversary of his administration.

According to the President, confidence is gradually returning to the telecom industry, with operators now expanding their networks, investing in infrastructure, recruiting Nigerian talent, and widening digital access across the country.

“We also took decisive action to stabilise the telecommunications sector, which remains one of the most important drivers of modern economic growth,” Tinubu said.
The President noted that digital infrastructure has become critical to national productivity, commerce, innovation, and education, stressing that a connected Nigeria would become more competitive globally.
“A connected Nigeria is a more competitive Nigeria. Digital infrastructure is now essential to commerce, education, innovation, and national productivity,” he added.
Tinubu maintained that reforms introduced by his administration were helping to reposition the sector for long-term growth and improved service delivery across the country.
