The Thanni Oladunjoye Older People Care Center, a foremost institution in Epe dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing, recently held a “Walk for Health” program to encourage fitness and active living among older residents.
Ekohotblog reports that Since its establishment in January 2022, the center has registered over 2,000 individuals and offers free weekly medical consultations, treatments for conditions such as hypertension and arthritis, physiotherapy, eye care, surgeries, and nutritional support. It has become a place of hope and healing for many who had once been forgotten.

The fitness walk, which took place on Tuesday, July 8, began and ended at the center. Participants moved through the streets of Epe with vibrant energy, singing, smiling, and showcasing the positive results of consistent care and community involvement.
“This center has changed my life. I now have access to care and companionship I never thought possible,” shared Mrs. Bimpe Bakare, one of the beneficiaries.
Another participant, Alhaji Agara, praised the center’s impact: “Beyond the treatments, we gather daily for breakfast, games, and meaningful interactions. It brings joy and purpose back into our lives.”
This initiative highlights the power of compassion and community in transforming lives, led by the unwavering commitment of the founder, Mr. Tunde Thanni.
